The Woodhaven Firewood Log Rack was the only rack to land at the top in all four reviews we studied. Popular Mechanics made the five-foot version its Best Overall, Family Handyman gave the covered model its Best with Cover pick after assembling it, Bob Vila named it Best Outdoor Rack, and House Digest called it 'the gold standard by which all other racks are measured.' The arc-welded 16-gauge steel is made in the USA, Family Handyman called it 'strong like a bull,' and it comes in seven lengths from 2 to 16 feet, so you can size it to your supply. A lifetime structural warranty backs all of it.

What It Won't Do
Price and cover. At about $188 for the four-foot model it costs far more than an open budget rack, and the included cover is a short seasoning top rather than a full wraparound, so weatherproofing the whole stack means buying more.
The Amagabeli 8ft Firewood Log Rack with Cover gives you a full season of covered storage for about $110. Family Handyman named it Best Budget, and Bob Vila and Popular Mechanics both featured it. A tester told Family Handyman it 'held the weight of a face cord without bending,' and the reviewers rated it the fastest and easiest rack to assemble, with no tools needed. The 600D waterproof cover is baggy enough to fit 24-inch logs with room to spare.

What It Won't Do
The tubular frame is lighter and less rigid than welded steel, Family Handyman warned the cover can degrade under prolonged sun, and there is no lifetime warranty.
